As part of the community-focused missions of the Phoenix Community Development & Investment Corporation (PCDIC) and the Phoenix IDA, both organizations partnered to award $1.3 million to nonprofits serving Phoenix and Maricopa County. The grant cycle was the first of two for calendar year 2022.
Grant funding for these local projects primarily comes from the Phoenix IDA’s public financing of projects outside of the local community and PCDIC’s private revenue attracted by New Markets Tax Credit projects, which are federally funded.
“Investing back into under-resourced communities is a shared mission of both the Phoenix IDA and PCDIC,” said Juan Salgado CEO of Phoenix IDA and PCDIC. “We awarded 29 grants to local nonprofits to support underserved communities in four focus areas from education to housing across the greater Phoenix area,” continued Salgado.
Below is a listing of the funded organizations and projects, please visit the Community Development Fund page for more information or contact Lydia Lee, at llee@phoenixida.com.
